ITI’s patented gasification technology, combined with the most up-to-date clean-up systems available means it is able to convert municipal waste into energy highly efficiently. ITI has a substantial pipeline of projects at different stages of the development process and has significant potential for global expansion.

The company’s strategy is to provide a turnkey solution encompassing its gasification technology, feedstock handling and ultimately electricity generation equipment. In addition to providing the initial turnkey solution, ITI will also continue to own and operate its power plants along alongside its development partners.

The modular and scalable nature of the technology means that ITI’s power plants can be located close to the feedstock source (municipal waste or biomass), eliminating unnecessary transport and associated environmental and economic costs.

ITI’s technology was developed in collaboration with the University of Newcastle and ultimately commercialised by ITI Energy who own all the rights, patents and IPR for the technology.

The technology has been proven over the past twelve years through a fully operational site in Turkey and with Newcastle University’s on-site small scale gasifier.
